Congratulations yet again to Gilbert Jamieson for breaking THREE club records at the weekend competition.
90m was 278, now 291
FITA was 1237, now 1241
Double FITA was 2394, now 2447
I suspect we will now see the club indoor records under pressure as well!
A big thank you to all those who helped make the weekend one of the best competitions ever!
The field party were tremendous and the judges were very impressed with their efforts.
Also a thank you to Chris for the shortbread - the archers loved it.

ALWAYS WANTED TO TRY ARCHERY, NEVER HAD THE CHANCE?
Come along and join us at Armadale Academy TONIGHT for our Olympic Come n Try Event.
We will provide all the equipment and coaching that is required.
There will be no charge to try it out and anyone from 9+ years can have a go.
The come n' try session will be in on from 8.15pm - 9.30pm at Armadale Academy on Monday 10th of September 2012.
The session will be part of the West Lothian festival of sport which includes 21 clubs offering 17 different sports including archery, badminton, martial arts, mountain biking and gymnastics.
We return to shooting indoors on Monday 3rd September 2012. From that date onwards (until May) shooting times/venues are:
Monday |
Armadale Academy |
8-10pm |
Wed |
Armadale Academy |
8-10pm |
Fri |
Linlithgow Academy |
7.45-9.45pm |
Please note that due to the damaged safety net at St Kentigern’s Academy (Blackburn) not being repaired and the lack of interest shown by the school in having this remedied, we have been forced to seek another venue. The committee considers it fortunate for the club that a slot became available at Armadale, which is an excellent venue with ample parking and a large, bright hall. Safety net issues aside, this larger venue is more suited to our expanding numbers in the club.
Congratulations to Gilbert Jamieson who broke FOUR club records during August 2012.
FITA 1237 (was 1211) 04/08/12
30m 346 (was 341) 04/08/12
90m 278 (was 274) 18/08/12
York 1124 (was 1054) 19/08/12
The York score is particularly impressive, smashing the previous record (also held by Gilbert) by 70 points!!
